NEIL Tattersall of Pendle and Mark Almond from Blackburn Harriers finished second and third behind Altrincham's Andy Norman in the Chorley Four Mile Road Race series.
The last of the four events at Astley Village was won by Salford's Andi Jones from Norman, with Tattersall fifth.
Evan Cook of Blackburn Harriers was first over 55 in 22:50, and that was enough to take victory in the veteran series by three points from Clayton's Colin Shuttleworth.
Wigan's Rachael Moore was the winning woman in all four outings, in the final race ahead of Katie Ingram who lives close to the course.
Third in the series behind Moore and veteran winner Susan Lever was Blackburn junior Melanie Taylor, while second veteran was Anne Croft from the Red Rose club.
