CLITHEROE are desperately searching for a new goalkeeper after Peter Collinge signed for Bury just 48 hours before the start of the new season.
The 19-year-old, who was an ever-present between the sticks last season, put pen to paper with the Shakers on Thursday.
Smitheringale has added several new faces to his squad over the summer and is expecting a tough game against Kidsgrove.
As well as Collinge, Clitheroe will also be without Yakub Khan and James Featherstone.
