ROSSENDALE United haven't been able to shake their injury jinx before the start of the new season.

Manager Derek Egan is without Bernard Morley (broken leg), David Eatock (double hernia) and Russell Clarke (ankle), while Adam Kozlowski still requires match fitness after recovering from a hamstring strain.

However, Egan is confident of a good season after signing former Burnley youth player Phil Eastwood from Stalybridge Celtic, utility players Ben Kitchen and Phil Edgehill and ex-Clarets goalkeeper James Salisbury.

"I think we will get stronger as the season progresses," he said.

"In two months time when we've got everyone back we'll have more competition for places."

Rossendale travel to take on Buxton for tomorrow's opening game.
