WE'VE always had a terrific away support.

And for a small town we've got terrific home support as well.

You can't underestimate the part that plays in the team.

We have one or two good young players and the support from the crowd helps bond them together, it picks them up and it's good for them.

It's been a terrific start and the supporters have done a great job so far.

And it's terrific for the club that at this present time in 2006 we have three internationals in the side.

Now with everything else that is happening it's great for the future of Burnley Football Club.

We're going in the right direction but I can't emphasise enough the fact that we've got to keep on winning.

What we need to do is build on it and it's important we do that on Saturday against Wolves.

No matter which way you look at it Wolves will be a difficult game.

By their standards they have had a poor start to the season but it won't be easy and Steve will have to have the lads fired up and ready.

If you look at the bookies odds then I imagine Burnley will be favourites but that means nothing.

I've said it before in this column that in the Championship anybody is capable of beating anybody as long as they go out with the right attitude on the day then that'll win matches.

The more wins we get the more confidence the team will get.

We've set ourselves the target of 50 points so we're safe from the drop but hopefully we can push on this season and finish in the top six.

I think top six is a realistic target for us. We're solid and strong and we have a good shape to the side.

We are scoring goals and it's not just from the strikers as James O'Conner proved last week the midfielders can also pitch in.

But we've got to be careful not to get too confident and I think everybody at the club knows we have to take it one game at a time and then see where we are at Christmas.

That will be the best time to sit down and see more clearly where we are going to finish this season.
