RAMSBOTTOM United manager Lee Sculpher has urged his side to pick themselves up after leaking a late equaliser.

The Rams, who were dubbed the draw specialists of North West Counties Division One last term, were denied an opening day win when they conceded a late penalty at home to Atherton Collieries on Saturday.

And Sculpher fears that could lead to unwanted pressure being put on his troops.

"With playing at home again we do need to win it because you'd expect four points from your first two home games," he said.

"We've got to stamp our authority on tonight's game from the start. I'm confident if we get our noses in front it should steel us that little bit more."

Sculpher has only a squad of 14 to choose from as four of Saturday's starting line-up - John Blackley, Steve McDonald, Paul O'Shaughnessy and Liam McManus - are suspended.
