Colne took a point from their opening game as they drew 3-3 at Stone Dominoes.
Chris Ingham put Colne in front but Mesaras brought the home side level before Matthews gave them the lead.
Anthony Murt equalised just after the break but a goal each in the last minute, Colne's coming from Keiran Roberts saw both sides take a point.
