ACCRINGTON Stanley striker Paul Mullin has missed the best chance of a goalless first half against Lincoln City in League Two.
Mullin was presented with a golden opportunity to put Stanley ahead in the 10th minute but put his free header wide from John Miles' cross.
The Reds have edged the half with Jimmy Ryan and Miles missing the target with long range shots.
Centre back Phil Edwards also came close to scoring early on with an uncharacterisic raid into the penalty area, but he hesitated and saw his shot blocked after running on to Mullin's pass.
Stanley have stuck to their usual 4-4-2 formation with midfielder Luke Joyce playing at right back.
