DEPLETED Clitheroe claimed a fine draw at Newcastle Blue Star and were within seconds of a memorable win.
The Blues were without several first team regulars and were expected to be very much the sideshow against free-scoring Blue Star.
But they refused to roll over in the North East and Craig Sargeson put Clitheroe ahead on 16 minutes to unsettle the home side.
They then defended resolutely to keep Blue Star at bay and still had chances at the other end.
The longer the game went on, the more it looked as though Clitheroe would hold on to claim a fine win for boss Peter Smith.
But with stoppage time looming, Hartlepool United loan striker Matty Tymon popped up with a header to claim a point.
