Rovers long for a return to the Premier League, this year marking 25 years since they famously lifting the trophy aloft at Anfield.

This season is their seventh Championship campaign since relegation from the top flight in 2012, with one relegation, several mid-table finishes, and a couple of missed play-off pushes thrown in for good measure.

Tony Mowbray's side are currently three points outside of the top six with nine games remaining, missing the opportunity to move in to the play-offs when beaten by Derby County in their last fixture before the EFL postponement.

But who would make up Rovers' best XI during that time?

Is it David Raya who gets the nod in goal, or has Christian Walton done enough this season to take that crown?

In defence, is the Darragh Lenihan and Charlie Mulgrew partnership that has served  Rovers well since 2016 their best, or are Shane Duffy and Grant Hanley able to win a place in central defence.

The biggest selections come in midfield and up front, with Ben Marshall and Craig Conway vying for spots on the wing, with Tom Cairney and Bradley Dack expected to be in the thinking for the creative spots in the side.

However, it's in attack where the biggest debate, and selection headaches would like. Jordan Rhodes, with his 85 goals in a three-and-a-half year stay, would be tough to overlook, but is there room for both Danny Graham and Rudy Gestede, with 35 and 37 Championship goals between them?
