OFFRANDE Zanzala could be ready to hand manager John Coleman a fitness boost after returning to training.

The striker has not featured since scoring in the 1-1 draw at Coventry earlier this month, missing Checkatrade Trophy games against West Brom Under 21s and Blackpool either side of the FA Cup first round win over Colchester.

Zanzala, who has five goals this season, has been hampered by a leg injury he sustained at the Ricoh Arena.

But Coleman was hopeful that the 22-year-old's return to training would lead to an almost fully-fit squad for Saturday's visit of Barnsley, with only Andy Mangan and young defender Harvey Rodgers on the treatment table.

"I'm hoping Ozzy is going to be training today," said Coleman at his pre-match press conference.

"Harvey should be back training with us soon so then I will have only have Andy Mangan, who should be back in a couple of weeks."

Captain Seamus Conneely has fully recovered from the groin injury that ruled him out for over a month.

And Coleman admitted that both he and fellow midfielder Scott Brown are chomping at the bit for a place in his starting XI, with Sam Finley and Dan Barlaser currently filling those roles.

"The two of them played really well on Tuesday," said the Stanley boss.

"That's the problem that I hope to have for a long time to come at Accrington.

"When the team starts to pick itself a lot of complacency can set in."
