I AM not too worried about our run of form at the moment.

We have not won for a few weeks but teams go on bad runs in hockey and I think we can turn it round.

It was always going to be a tough ask last weekend in the NIHL Cup. We travelled to Hull on Saturday and lost 10-3 and then lost 6-0 at home to Sheffield Steeldogs on Sunday.

They are two of the strongest teams in the league and we can’t compete with them in terms of budget and depth of squad.

I felt we played well in patches in both games but the opposition were clinical and took their chances when they came.

From our point of view we have to make sure we don’t lose concentration.

We are competing well but are just been let down a little bit on concentration. I have said that to the players, most of them will only be on the ice for seven or eight minutes a period so it is not a long time to keep focus for and if we can do that then we have a much better chance.

Sometimes we are not doing the simple things well and making life hard for ourselves.

But I don’t want to be too hard on the boys because they are working really hard.

We have two more cup games this weekend starting with Hull at home on Saturday.

I want us to go at them a bit more, I wanted us to stir it up a bit last weekend and play with that kind of identity and disrupt their flow.

I think that worked when we did it and if we can do it again on home ice then we are capable of getting a result.

Hull can overpower you at times but they do so with a bit too much arrogance so we have to make sure we are up for the battle and ready to make it hard for them. We then play Billingham on Sunday and that is a realistic chance for us to end our wait for a win.
