I'M a very healthy driver, who has had many parking problems, as your disabled readers are having in Blackburn, including the Royal Blackburn Hospital.

What does annoy me is the constant moaning of disabled drivers about having to pay for parking if there are no disabled places left.

I can't understand why they don't pay even if they are using the disabled parking spaces. Anyway, why are they free?

Disabled drivers are given special places to park which cost more to maintain and are usually in prime parking places, then they want them free too.

What's up with them paying the same as able bodied drivers have to? Most disabled people I know say they want to be treated the same as everyone else.

Most disabled people get mobility payments which in my understanding are supposed to pay for transport costs, which includes parking fees.

I think your disabled readers who complain should think twice about how they are already being treated better than most drivers in the Blackburn area.

Be grateful when there are free parking spaces available, but when there aren't just get on with it like the rest of the drivers have to.
