PERHAPS someone could explain the following: l Qualified nurses (some with 20 years' experience and more) having to apply for their own jobs prior to the move to the new super hospital.
l Others unfortunate enough not to be successful to be re-deployed across East Lancashire NHS (like it or lump it).
l No more hot lunches, no waitresses needed but can apply for domestic or gardening vacancies (hopefully before they are all taken by the unwanted nurses).
l Newly qualified nurses/midwives with no posts to apply for (perhaps the three years' training would have been better spent at Myerscough Agricultural College).
l Security staff walking out because they don't feel safe.
l Junior doctors want to be paid for the extra hours they have worked. How dare they! When the shift is over move away from the patient, it's not your problem.
l Agency nurses working at the new Royal Blackburn Hospital paid for by the East Lancashire NHS Trust.
At what cost?
