In relation to the article on the front page of the LT Burnley, August 4 headed “Shameful”.
Trafalgar Street, Burnley and outside Central Station have been an eyesore, especially outside the station for years.
Is it merely coincidental that the council have decided at last to make it look decent or it is because Burnley FC are now in the Premier League?
It seems that we have had to wait till something like this event or similar arises before the town can get something done to make the entry into the town look decent.
£290,000 seems a fearful lot of money, to spend on the site of the disused pub at Gannow roundabout just to put up an artwork.
Having to approach this roundabout, it is very busy and you need your wits about you to take notice of any artwork.
