West Craven folk let their inventions take to the skies as Barnoldswick hosted its annual kite-flying festival.
The event in Letcliffe Park was organised by Barnoldswick Community Arts Group, and allowed people to make their own kites and then fly them.
The festival signalled the start of a number of activities in the run up to this year's Bank Holiday Balloons Over Barlick festival.
