ELEVEN heroin and crack cocaine dealers jailed for a total of nearly 40 years face having their drug-dealing profits seized.

The dealers were arrested after being caught by an undercover policewoman who posed as an addict called Lou.

They were sentenced to 36 and a half years between them after raids in Blackburn, Accrington, and Helmshore as part of the police's Operation Nimrod.

The eleven, who were arrested in June after a six-month undercover operation, are the latest to be jailed following the police operation.

Video and audio equipment was used to capture the deals which took place behind Maundy Grange, Accrington Health Centre and various streets in Accrington town centre including Avenue Parade.

After sentencing on Friday, Sarah Statham, prosecuting told Preston Crown Court police were preparing reports to calculate the dealers' profits.

After pleading guilty those convicted and who will face the confiscation hearing on December 1 include Mohammed Sabir, 29, of Ambleside Close, Blackburn, Steven Meakin, 21, of Craven Street, Accrington, Hadil Iqbal, 29, of Musden Street, Helmshore, William McWilliams, 39, of Charter Street, Accrington, Jonathan Mallen, 29, of Empire House, Accrington, Michael Bolton, 41, of Royds Street, Accrington, Mohammed Khabib, 26, of Princess Street, Accrington, Vincent Ireland, 48, of Meadow Street, Accrington, Imran Pervez, 25, of Pendle Street, Accrington, Nazam Pervez, 26, Pendle Street, Accrington, Paul McGrath, 28, of Burnley Road, Accrington.
