LANCASHIRE students who don't get the A-level results they hoped for on Thursday are being told not to despair.
The government has launched a helpline where experienced advisors will provide information on the opportunities available through clearing.
Clearing is a process through which an applicant, who has not yet secured a place, can apply for vacancies available.
More than 35,000 people find places through the service.
The helpline is 0808 100 8000.
