KEITH Lowe has thanked Burnley for boosting his confidence ahead of his return to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 20-year-old defender has returned to his club armed with more experience than he gained trying to break through into the first team ranks at Molineux.
Much of that has been gleaned from playing at centre back alongside the vastly experienced John McGreal and Frank Sinclair.
And Lowe insisted he could not have had a better grounding than spending nearly four months at Turf Moor.
He said: "Confidence wise, playing at Burnley has given me a real boost.
"I feel I am a confidence player and when it's following, I play well. I had never played centre half at league level. I had only played right back at Wolves, so it has shown me I can do it at this level.
"I could not have asked for anything better than my time here. It has just been brilliant and I've not regretted a single moment."
Burnley have already stated their intention to try to re-sign Lowe once January's transfer window opens in under three weeks time.
And Lowe is delighted to have played his part in ensuring that, whether he returns of not, the Clarets now find themselves in a far healthier league position than when he arrived in late August.
"Obviously playing makes you happy, but to be at such a high level with a team challenging hard for promotion has been good for me," he added.
"The form has been incredible over the past few months. Everyone has put that bit extra in because we were struggling and we have put a nice little run together that has carried us far."
