LEADING property firm The Hurstwood Group is to start on a £2million project on an ex-frozen food warehouse.
Hurstwood has bought the disused Snow King building, off Grane Road, Haslingden.
It plans to demolish the derelict building and build 12 industrial units on the 1.7-acre plot.
Its senior development surveyor, Gary Taylor, said: "The site is in an excellent location for the motorway network, which is ideal for commercial operators.
"We are building a number of different sized units, from 2,250 sq ft, which will be ideal for light industry and trade retail. In total, the site will offer 26,5000 sq ft of space."
Hurstwood bought this month for an undisclosed sum and, earlier this year, won a £3.3 million, 50-week design and build contract for the new Liverpool Community College college.
It also recently signed a deal for a £5million business park in Lancaster and moved its headquarters to flagship development Link 665, Haslingden.
The building was given a £2million revamp before the Hurstwood team relocated from its base in New Hall Hey, Rawtenstall.
