Alhamdulillah
My eman has been growing though I am sad to say
Ramadan will be over in a few days,
I'm a muslim with so much to do,
Such tranquility, brothers, sisters I love you,
I could say what I know,
But I would rather read,
Researching and learning helping the need,
Ramadan has taught me I have obligations,
Obedience to Allah, fasting and patience,
Thinking of those less fortunate than some,
Giving, for the sake of Allah our deeds are done,
So my brothers and sister in ISLAM,
Let us join together holding hands,
Ramadan ...My first , oh! why must we part?
Alhamdulillah, I surrendered and gave Allah my heart.

Runner-up
Ahlan waSahlan Ya Ramadhaan
Marhaba Ramadhaan, together we'll be soon
we wait with eagerness, to sight your moon
a mercy you are, as we are told
by one who is beloved to all young and old
(sallalahu alaihi wasallam)
Oh Ramadhaan, we welcome thee
for despite our fasting, we taste purity
each of our good actions multiplies ten-fold
our hearts you have awakened, our souls you mould
Beloved Ramadhaan, your power and beauty is beyond comparison
you tame the biggest sinner, and even gotten the Rejected imprisoned,
Khats now calls herself Khatija, even Moe wants to be Muhammad
the scarves are tied properly for a change, even the Masaajid are flooded
We would miss you Ramadhaan, as you draw to a close
whether we'd ever see you again, Allah and His Rasool knows
It's already your final ten, we must saviour every hour
we'll perform i'itikaaf, and search for your Night of Power
Farewell Ramadhaan, how rapid you have passed
we have sighted another, so today is your last
tomorrow we feast, old friends we would call
Until we meet again, 'Eid Mubaarak to one and all.
Forgive us Ramadhaan, for wasting your time
for in the months around you - we continue our crime
we know it's for our benefit and a promise we make
to honour your memory, more responsibility we would take.
Joint winner of under 16 section
What I Gain From Ramadan
My eyes fill with tears
Every time I hear your virtues, o Ramadan
How can I not take advantage
And keep myself from prayer
I have broken free from worldly distractions
My nafs is locked away
The doors of mercy are wide open
And my heart has found peace
Joint winner of under 16 section
Ramadan Has Come
Ramadan only comes for 30 days,
On the straight path we must all stay,
Get up for sehri it's time to eat,
Open iftari with something sweet.
Stop listening to the music that you hear,
Because it is the Hell you will fear,
Listen to me now and do it right,
Obey Allah with all your might.
The moon we try to sight,
Behind the clouds in the night,
Then we find out it is Eid,
But never forget those in need.
