I WAS shocked and surprised at the headline news in the Telegraph on December 5.
As my child is a former pupil at the school, it was with great interest that I read the story.
My experience with the school, teachers and its headmistress has been of an excellent standard.
Any problems or any issues raised by myself were treated in the most professional manner by all concerned at the school.
I believe that the school has not failed its pupils or parents with regards to the "ham" pizzas.
This, I would like to believe, has been a clear mistake, probably through the lines of communication within the local education authority dinner agencies.
The school may have made a mistake, but let's not forget the truly wonderful and difficult job that these teachers carry out under pressure.
