KEITH Lowe headed back to Wolverhampton Wanderers today refusing to rule out a Turf Moor return.

The defender's loan spell at Burnley ended following Saturday's 3-0 defeat away to a rampant Sheffield United.

Clarets boss Steve Cotterill has already hinted that he will look to sign the 20-year-old defender on loan for the rest of the season in January.

And Lowe, a lifelong Wanderers fan, insisted he would have no hesitation linking up with the Clarets again in the New Year if he finds himself excluded from Glenn Hoddle's Molineux plans.

"I've had a good time at Burnley and it has been a great experience," said Lowe. "I'm looking forward to going back to Wolves and trying to make an impression.

"I haven't spoken to anyone there recently, but I will go back and they will let me know what is happening.

"Obviously I need to see what is going on there, but if things are still the same then I'll hope to come back because Burnley is an ideal place to play games and get more experience.

"The manager (Cotterill) has said he would like me to come back and I wouldn't have any hesitation because I don't feel there is anywhere better I could have come to.

"But for the time being I am Wolverhampton born and bred and I will only be coming back if things don't change there. That is my club and it has to take priority."
