A 34-YEAR-OLD cleaner stole cash and jewellery from her employers over a period of months, a court was told.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Jackie Eccles was caught after her boss became suspicious and set up a closed circuit TV system in the bedroom.
Eccles, of Raikes Bridge, Lower Darwen, pleaded guilty to theft from Mark and Julie Kershaw.
She was made subject to a community supervision order for 18 months and ordered to do 120 hours community punishment and pay £600 compensation.
Neil White, prosecuting, said the prosecution case was that Eccles had stolen property worth £2,200 and they did not accept the defence version which put the value at much less.
"The Kershaws have given their version of events and the defendant has given hers as a dishonest person and it would be wrong of us to accept her version," said Mr White.
Clare Knight, defending, said Eccles accepted taking £200 in notes and coins, two gold rings, two gold bracelets and two gold chains.
