John Lennon would have been 65 on October 9 while December 8 marks the 25th anniversary of his death. In between those two anniversaries, tribute band The Bootleg Beatles are setting out on a tour which comes to Preston on November 25.

The Bootleg Beatles - Neil Harrison as John, David Catlin-Birch as Paul, Andre Barreau as George and Hugo Degenhardt as Ringo - formed from the cast of the musical Beatlemania in 1980 and have since played more than 4000 shows.

Their new live show is split into four parts, tracing the musical journey of the Beatles from the Liverpool Cavern to the Apple rooftop.

And for the first time ever, every song will feature multi-media scene-setting visuals and archive footage of the time.

The band will be backed by orchestral musicians and they will perform many songs that were never actually played live on stage by the real Beatles, such as Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever and A Day In The Life.

The Bootleg Beatles play the Guild Hall in Preston on Friday, November 25. Buy three tickets and get a fourth free - call the box office on 01772 258858 and quote 'Bootleg Group Offer'.
