Manager Billy Davies is banking on a return to action from David Nugent to restore North End's killer edge up front.
The young striker was all set to start against Wolves - his first start since the skin infection which ruled him out for a month - but then he caught the flu-like virus going around the camp.
Davies said: "David gives us something extra up front, but that's not taking anything away from the players out there at the moment.
"I've been very pleased with the way we have performed and we just need luck."
