REGARDING the multi-faith burial site plan for Langho. I have lived in Citheroe and the Ribble Valley for the last six years.

I have read the letters for and against the proposal but so far no-one has mentioned that the damage will be irreversible to the countryside.

My family moved from Blackburn to the Ribble Valley because we wanted to raise the children in the countryside.

During the last six years the Ribble Valley has been built over with many new developments and the planned burial site with parking for 200 cars and more buildings is another loss to the countryside.

Could not a disused place which has already been built on and is now vacant be used instead?

We need to leave places for future generations of children to grow up with nature.
