A MAN who exposed himself in an alleyway told police he was "revved up" because he had been expecting to have sex.

Gary Lee Clough, 27, had gone to see his married lover but had become frustrated when he discovered her husband's car parked outside the house, a court was told.

Blackburn magistrates heard that Gary Lee Clough, of Council Terrace, Darwen, ended up "exposing himself" down a nearby back alleway.

And the magistrates were told that he continued with his behaviour even when he realised that two young girls and a two-year-old boy had entered the alley.

He was eventually traced as a result of DNA taken from the scene and told police: "I was going for sex and I were a bit revved up."

Clough pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.

He was made subject to probation supervision for two years and ordered to complete 80 hours community punishment.

He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation to each of the older girls and £400 costs.

He was placed on the Sex Offender Register for five years.

Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said the three children were playing near Newton Street at about 3 pm on Sunday March 6 when they encountered Clough.
