IF LIGHTNING really does strike twice, can someone please point it in the direction of Pride Park?

Right now we are in need of a win and I think everyone in the camp remembers that when we went to Derby a year ago it changed our season.

We had lost the first four games, but we picked up our first win there in strange fashion.

We were terrible in the first half and looked dead and buried, even at 1-0 down. But we came out in the second half and played unbelievable to win (2-1).

The season was up and running after that, so hopefully it can be the same again because I certainly don't think I'm going overboard by insisting we're not as bad as the table suggests.

But it doesn't lie. One minute you think you are doing okay because you are not getting beat and the next you can be sucked in there and that's what seems to have happened.

Those three points can be massive and you are you are better off winning one and losing one than drawing two.

We have slipped down recently and when you look at the next two games, with Rotherham following Derby, they are two massive games.

They are both below us in the league and it means we either pull away from them, or get dragged further in there.

One thing that will help is being back at full strength and it looks like we're nearly there now.

I came through 45 minutes in the reserves yesterday and felt a bit better than I thought I would do after having the 'flu last week. It really knocked the stuffing out of me, but I think you need to get back out there as soon as you can and get that bug out of you.

I'm hoping that now, with a good couple of days training behind me, I will be okay for the weekend.

It's also good to see David May back in action because he can undoubtedly be a massive influence when he's back in defence.

It's a bit strange for me because I've only played four games with him because of the loan spell at Bolton, but I know he helps to settle things down before he got injured.

Since then it's been a bit mix-and-match at the back and there's been little chance for stability.

Now he's back it will be good to get him out there again.

We'll need all those bodies because although it's not looking too bad now, once you get back into the three games a week and the pitches become a bit more sticky, you know injuries and suspensions are going to kick in.

I know the gaffer is still looking to add some strength to the squad and whoever comes in will help us out with the numbers, so lets' hope something turns up soon because that would be a great boost.
