THE sole director of a failed company in Colne which built up a £248,000 debt has given an undertaking not to take part in any company management for seven years.

The Insolvency Service has announced that James Harrison, 60, of Swindon, in Skipton, will not hold directorships of any companies in that time.

His undertaking follows an investigation by the Insolvency Service into the failure of Fabpro (UK) Ltd, which was based at Primet Business Centre and went into voluntary liquidation in July 2001.

The matters of unfit conduct, which are not disputed by Mr Harrison, were that he carried on the same business as Paramout Precision Ltd, which has also failed, and that he carried on trading after October 1999 when he knew the company was insolvent.
