A SCHEME to encourage people to report hate crimes has been expanded in Rossendale.
Police said the self-reporting forms for victims of racist crimes were now available throughout the Valley.
The Take Action forms give residents another way to report racist incidents.
The scheme is designed to enable people from minority communities to report racist incidents anonymously without having to contact a police station.
Rossendale police inspector and chair of the Rossendale Safety Partnership Violent Crime Theme Group, Dave Shepherd said: "
"The forms will give us a better picture of what is happening and enable the agencies concerned to form appropriate resonses."
In Rawtenstall the forms are available at: Youth and community services, Grange Street; The Jobcentre/ benefits agency, Bacup Road; The youth centre at the old fire station, Burnley Road; Rawtenstall Health Centre, Bacup Road; Rossendale Domestic Violence Unit; Rossendale Town Hall and Rawtenstall Library.
