JOHN Prescott and other politicians advocate a North West regional assembly quoting increased democracy will result.
We already have regional MEPs elected by a minority of eligible voters, but the majority of people don't know who, what or where their MEPs are, with the Brussels bureaucrats operating behind this charade of democracy and doing exactly as they please.
If a regional assembly goes ahead, regional MPs will follow, resulting in the death of democracy with totalitarian Brussels and Westminster governments akin to the governments of Orwell's '1984' and Huxley's 'Brave New World.'
