IF you went to see The Beautiful South play at King George's Hall last week, you might have been intrigued by their support act Magna.
The Norwegian duo created an intriguing sound thanks to their use of electronic sound effects and unusual instruments like a lapsteel guitar.
The band consists of Even on vocals and guitar and David who works the sound system.
The boys from Bergen were spotted by Beautiful South singer Paul Heaton, who asked them to play support.
Even said: "It's good to play to different people and we try to do something a little bit experimental.
"I don't like to play my guitar like a troubadour. I've always thought it was important to write songs about real things."
Magna release a single -- a cover of Bob Dylan's Lay Lady Lay -- at Christmas and support The Beautiful South tonight at the Manchester Apollo.
