NELSON boss Dave Hall is remaining on his guard - despite his side hosting rock bottom Daisy Hill tomorrow.

Hall is wary of the Bolton club despite the fact that they have only won one game in North West Counties Division Two this season.

However, it did come in their last match, at home to Flixton last Saturday.

Hall said: "It's typical that as soon as they get their first win we play them the week after.

"You just don't know what Daisy Hill are going to do, like any team in this league. It's like Cheadle beating Great Harwood last Saturday."

Nelson are top of the current form table and full of confidence following the midweek 3-1 win at Padiham in the Lancashire FA Marsden Trophy.

Hall added: "We are breaking the season down into quarters and trying to average two points a game.

"We have 27 from 13 so we are on target but there is a long way to go."

Mick Charlton, the recent signing from Bacup, comes back into contention for a place in defence following his ineligibility for the Padiham game.
