LEE Sculpher is looking to strengthen his forward line by capturing Ramsbottom United striker Glyn Barker.
The Clitheroe manager is still looking to compensate for the recent loss of Lee Cryer to Rossendale, but Barker is considering an offer from another club over the weekend before giving an answer.
Sculpher's squad has also been boosted by the news that Jason Jones has agreed to rejoin the club.
Clitheroe need a lift to get them back on the North West Counties League title trail following last week's 3-0 defeat to Mossley in their top-of-the-table clash.
But tomorrow they take on a Salford City side keen to impress their new manager - former Chorley boss Mark Molyneaux.
Sculpher said: "With Mark's reputation I envisage it will be a tough game and he'll have his new troops up and ready for the battle.
"Salford is never an easy place to go but in the past we've done quite well there. It's important we don't get beat there after losing to Mossley last Saturday because we need to keep in touch with them and hope they start dropping some points."
Sculpher has also revealed his delight that Dave Burgess has returned to Clitheroe as chairman after resigning earlier in the season.
He said: "Dave missed being here and it's good to have him back. He is well liked and works very hard for the club.
"Having been manager here himself, he appreciates what it's like for me but he's committed to other things like raising finances."
