A POPULAR Bury town centre pub has been put on the market.
The sale of the lease of the Duke of Clarence is being handled by commercial property agents Kings Business Transfer.
The Silver Street pub is in a prime location and Gerry Murphy, a partner at Kings, expects there to be plenty of interest.
"The Duke of Clarence has enormous potential," he says. "It is in a wonderful position in the town and at the moment it does not have any food trade, which is an area ripe for development."
Current landlord Andy Milligan has been host at the Clarence, for more than five years. He is considering other commercial activities.
