A CHARITY night in aid of Blackburn and District Children's Diabetes Group has been given a boost by Coronation Street.
The show is currently featuring the character Katy Harris, who was diagnosed with diabetes.
And show bosses have donated the group a shirt that was worn by Katy's boyfriend Martin Platt, in episodes of the popular soap. The shirt has come with an authentication certificate from Coronation Street.
The shirt will be one of many items to be raffled at the charity's next big event, a Ceilidh Night, to be held on Friday November 28 at the Canberra Club, at British Aerospace, Samlesbury, at 7.30 pm.
Tickets for the Ceilidh night, which include a Hot Pot or Vegetarian supper, are on sale priced at £7 for adults and £3.50 for children.
These can be obtained by calling Sandra on 01254 249414.
