CAMPAIGNERS against the visit of American president George Bush made their voices heard loud and clear in Bury on Wednesday.
Around 40 demonstrators gathered outside the town hall with placards and banners opposed to American policies in Iraq. Members of the Bury Stop the War Coalition spent two hours outside the Knowsley Street buildings after rain forced the cancellation of a planned march around Bury town centre.
Music from a trailer was provided by rock band Dr Freak, as rush-hour motorists were invited to honk horns of support.
