RESTAURATEUR Jackie Crump donated her night's takings to the hospital which saved her life.
Jackie organised a fund-raising evening at her family-run restaurant, Next Door in Tottington.
Money raised went to Christie Hospital in Manchester which treated her for ovarian cancer.
The dinner, together with a raffle and money put into a gallon whisky bottle, raised about £1,000.
Jackie (47) said: "Money is still being put into the bottle and the raffle is still ongoing, so more is still to come.
"It was a wonderful evening with the restaurant being fully booked with friends and those who had eaten here before. Guests enjoyed a five-course meal."
Tottington's The Village Butchers donated the meat, Willis Fruit and Veg in Bury Market gave free vegetables, decorations were arranged by the Balloon Shop, Openshaws from Bolton donated a salmon and many of the raffle prizes were provided by Ramsbottom resident Dorothy Kenyon, who also had cancer.
Added Jackie: "A big thank-you goes to everyone including my family who helped. This is my way of saying thank-you to Christie's which cured me."
