FOR Burnley fans, victory can be the difference between a night on the tiles and an evening kicking the cat.

For Mo Camara, it means grabbing a long overdue lie-in on a Sunday morning.

The Clarets defender has been tossing and turning in recent weeks after a nightmare run of results.

And the galloping Guinean aims to enjoy sweet dreams if Stan Ternent's men pick up their first win in seven league games against Rotherham tomorrow.

Camara said: "After every game, you're back home and sometimes you can't sleep because you think we played very well again, but lost.

"It's very hard for the players, but at the moment, I don't think all the players have played 90 minutes good football together since the Bradford game.

"When everybody plays well for 90 minutes, I don't feel there is a team in this league better than Burnley.

"But sometimes we only have two or three players playing well for the 90 minutes and that makes it hard for the team."

Camara is openly honest regarding his own form during the recent slump.

The former Wolves defender was in sparkling form shortly after arriving on a two-year deal from Molineux last summer.

But he feels he needs to sharpen up his all round game to help Burnley back to winning ways.

""I think my (overall) game has improved here, but I'm not playing my best football at the moment," he admitted.

"I'm defending quite well, but I need to work harder offensively for the strikers, to put more crosses in and help score goals.

"I haven't been going forward much lately, and I hope you will see that from me again because that is my game."

Camara is, however, convinced the Clarets will ride out the present storm. Manager Ternent has struggled all season long with a worrying lack of numbers at his disposal and a shortage of cash to splash out on reinforcements.

But left back Camara, now the only remaining ever-present outfield player in the squad, reckons the canny Clarets chief will steer the squad through these troubled times.

He added: "At the moment we don't have so many players at Burnley - just 20. It's hard for the gaffer to buy players or bring them in, but I think we have the best gaffer in this division.

"I don't say that because I'm at Burnley, but because I know how difficult it is, as we don't have as much money as many other teams.

"The Rotherham game is very important now, because we have lost too many and we need to take three points.

"It's a long time since we've been at home, and it is important for the team, and for the fans, to win.

"We have played the last two games away and played very well, but had bad luck and given away stupid goals.

"But we are working hard in training - every player - and we will be looking to take the three points.

"When we had a bit of luck earlier in the season, we got into the top eight. At the moment it is a bad time, but we just have to keep working hard."
