Myerscough College 7 Leigh 6th Form (Marshall street) 1: LEIGH 6th Form visited Myerscough College, last season's league winners, and were given a footballing lesson in a 7-1 defeat.
In a poor first half for Leigh, Myerscough freely broke through and but for some last minute tackling from man of the match Craig Timmins, would have been well in front.
Leigh did create two goal-scoring opportunities. The first saw Andy Hampson release Lee Hallworth only to see him fire the ball over the bar then after Myerscough had taken a 2-0 lead Jordan Reay just failed with an attempted lob.
Myerscough added a third after Leigh had been hampered by an injury to Dan Shorrock leaving Jordan Reay to take over in nets and four more goals followed.
However there was some consolation when Craig Timmins drove through a crowded penalty area to score.
