DATEN Ladies hockey 1st had an exciting 4-3 local derby win over Warrington.
Debbie Holland opened the scoring for Daten with a skilful move that pulled the goalkeeper out of position making it easy to make contact with the backboard but the away side quickly equalised with a well practiced short corner.
Second half goals came from well worked moves by Helen Moffat and Sacha Hately and a Beth Millman short corner that fooled the defence.
Warrington maintained pressure and it looked like a well earned 3-3 draw until Corrine Hodge converted the final chance of the of the game.
Daten men's first had a battle on their hands against Morecambe who were just above them in the league. Daten created chances which they just could not convert but Morecambe scored off a short corner in the second half.
Daten men's second team took on a very organised Bowdon fourth team and lost 9-0.
