BIG-hearted youngsters at schools across the area will be taking part in fun events today to raise funds for Children In Need.
St Cuthbert's, Darwen, have organised a pyjama party and teddy and virtual reality birthday, St Joseph's, also in Darwen, will be holding a non-uniform day and penny race, while Newfield School, Blackburn, will be holding a Staff Olympics and pyjama party. Tockholes CEP, will also hold a penny race, while youngsters at Roe Lee Park Primary will host a science-themed fancy dress day.
St James CEP, Blackburn will hold a non-uniform day and children at Holy Trinity School, will be challenged to dress as their teachers.
St James C of E Primary Darwen are measuring pennies and holding a non-uniform day, while St Peter's Primary will be holding a pyjama day.
Other schools who have already held their fundraising activities include Ashleigh Primary who held a penny race, St Francis CE Primary who held a non-uniform day, St Barnabas Primary School who took part in a sponsored skip and St Aidan's C of E who had a wacky hair day and a visit from charity mascot Pudsey Bear.
