A 47-YEAR-OLD woman who stormed out after a row with her partner was breathalysed and found to be more than double the legal limit.
Diane Jordan, of Avebury Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty at the town's magistrates to driving with excess alcohol. She was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £100 with £75 costs.
Jordan, who gave a reading of 87 against the legal limit of 35, agreed to be referred to the drink-drive rehabilitation programme which, if completed successfully, will reduce her ban by up to 25 per cent.
Debbie Morgan, defending, said Jordan was ashamed and full of anguish as a result of her first ever appearance in court.
She had separated from her partner in June but they had reconciled to the extent that they spent the weekends together. On Saturday they rowed and Jordan stormed out of the house.
"She was angry and never considered how much she had to drink," said Miss Morgan.
