STEVE Wilkes will be putting a ban on bananas at the Anchor Ground this week, in case his players slip on a skin.
For the Darwen manager has a fear of playing lowly opposition and is desperate not to come a cropper against bottom-placed Chadderton tomorrow.
Missing goalkeeper Lee Kennedy and Andy Walsh through family commitments and Mark Westhead, who is being interviewed for a position in the fire brigade, hasn't made Wilkes concerns any easier.
However, the return of Matt Anderton, who has been sidelined for six weeks with a hairline ankle fracture, has boosted his squad ahead of tomorrow's home game.
Wilkes biggest concern, though, is Darwen's failure to keep a clean sheet all season.
"It's become a bit of a bug bear now," he said.
"We played ever so well at home to Oldham Town last weekend and I thought we were going to do it then but they got a controversial penalty.
"We've scored 42 goals in 15 games but you just wonder when you're going to get a bit of luck at the other end.
"If Mr Souness gets a clean sheet I'd like him to ring me to tell me how they've done it because we can't buy one at the moment!"
