THE patter of tiny feet will be heard in Leigh this week as tots take part in a big toddle for charity.
Twenty five under fives from the Bedford Babes Childminding Group are joining the national Foresters-backed fund raiser for Barnardo's.
Dressed as characters from The Very Hungry Caterpillar Book they will set off from Mill Lane Methodist Church at noon on June 25 and be met by Leigh MP Andy Burnham at Leigh Town Hall half an hour later.
Leader of the group which meets at the Higher Folds Community Centre every Wednesday between 9am and 11.30am, Kim Smith, said: "The toddle is about children helping other children. It is fantastic to know that our children can help Barnardo's just by taking part."
Last year over 2000 groups helped to raise over £634,000 for the charity.
