FIVE men were due to be questioned today after a man was stabbed three times in Blackburn.
Intruders are believed to have burst into the house in Whalley Road around midnight and pulled a 29-year-old man to the ground.
Police investigating the incident said a man was attacked and dragged from his bed which he was sharing with his partner, before being beaten up and stabbed three times.
DS Mick Cross, Blackburn CID, said: "He is in Blackburn Infirmary and his condition is serious but stable although his injuries are not believed to be life threatening."
Although the motive for the attack has not been established, it is thought the incident could be drug related.
