A THIRD teenager has appeared in court charged in connection with the seizure of amphetamine worth £1.25million from a house in Blackburn in May.
Ibrar Ashraf, 19, of Whitewell Place, Blackburn, is jointly charged with Rizwana Ibrahim Patel, 19, of Mount Trinity, Larkhill, Blackburn, and a 16-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, with possession of amphetamine and heroin with intent to supply.
Prosecutor Peter Wild said the amphetamine, found in a black plastic bin at a house in Calder Street, was high grade. Fifty wraps of heroin were also seized during the police raid.
Patel was bailed until July 12 but the two males were remanded in custody.
Basharat Ditta, defending all three, said he would not be applying for bail for Ashraf because the prosecutor had already indicated that should such an application be granted he would appeal the decision.
"I will go straight to a judge at the Crown Court with my application for bail," said Mr Ditta.
