WITH reference to your recent article "A Betrayal of the Voters," I agree with your view that this is not the time for opportunism and personal ambition.
If, in the future these same individuals attempted to return to the fold, my advice to the Labour Party and the Labour group would be to refuse their application.
By designating themselves as independents they have forfeited the right to ever again be members of the Labour Party.
It will be interesting to see what the electorate make of their disgraceful action to change their allegiance when next they stand for re-election.
