A TEENAGER was indecently assaulted while taking a stroll through an East Lancashire park with two young children.
The 15-year-old girl was near the duck pond in Victory Park, Barrowford, at 11.30am on Sunday with the two youngsters, when she realised she was being followed by a youth.
As she approached the tunnel area of the park, she was indecently assaulted by him.
The teenager, who was visiting relatives in the Barrowford area, did not require medical treatment but was left very distressed by the incident, according to police.
Sergeant Ian Cooper, of Colne Police, said: "The victim was understandably left very distressed by the assault.
"We are particularly worried that this attack took place in daylight and in front of two small children."
The attacker is described as Asian, aged about 15 and of slim build.
He was clean shaven with short black hair and wore a short, black, zip-up jacket, white tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
Anyone with information should call Nelson CID on 01282 425001 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
