VISITORS to Darwen's Whitehall Hotel may have noticed a change to the menu recently, thanks to new head chef Steve Waters.
Steve, 27, has been there less than a month but has already completely revamping the dishes, introducing food from across the globe.
The chef, who was trained at Runshaw College, Leyland, said: "I have totally changed the menu. I would describe it as modern with lots of different influences. There's Thai, British and French."
The chef, in his first post as head chef, is enjoying the job, despite the long hours and occasionally stressful conditions.
But at least customers can be sure Steve is putting the hours in to prepare tasty food.
Steve said: "It's a cracking job. I'm usually in there from 10am and work through to 10pm at night, so it's a 12-hour day."
